There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” -Colin Powell, Former U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

The Most Important Things to Know About Paul A. Raggio.  He is…

A Business Professional…

Paul recently retired as President of the Security Strategic Business Unit for a billion-dollar Alaska Native Corporation. He led and managed the strategic growth, profit and loss, and capture of market share in the federal government security industry for eight limited liability law enforcement and security companies with 2,000 employees operating in forty-one states and two countries. During his tenure he tripled work backlog from $175 million to $450 million, tripled annual revenue from $47 million to $150 million, and more than quadrupled earnings from $2 million to $10 million. All this accomplished by leading company teams that won several hundred million-dollar, multi-year, federal contracts.

An Experienced Leader…

Paul served twenty-six years in the U.S. Army retiring as a Colonel.  He commanded the only Military Police Airborne Brigade in the Army and served as a legislative liaison to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Chief of Staff and Secretary of the Army.  Paul is a veteran of Operations’ Just Cause, leading to the capture of Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega, and Desert Shield and Storm, resulting in the liberation of Kuwait from Iraq.

A Man of Character…

Paul believes the single most important factor to your success as a leader is your character.  Those being led, whether troops on a battlefield or human resource specialists in a back office, constantly seek to define your character, and if they perceive a flaw your ability to lead suffers.  Your character is composed of the virtues you subscribe to and the values you practice.  Virtues you live, values you project, and your character is what embodies both!

An Educated Business Manager…

Paul earned with honors a Bachelor of Science and Commerce degree in Finance from Santa Clara University and a Master of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis on resource management from Syracuse University.  Paul is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College, U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College, the Combined Arms Services Staff School, and the basic and advanced Military Police School.  Paul also served as a comptroller in the Defense Intelligence Agency, managing the $110 million Defense Attaché Budget and as a human resource manager in the U.S. Army’s personal command, managing the distribution and assignment of Colonels.

A Believer in Community Support…

Paul knows giving back to the community is an essential business practice.  Being an active member of the Chamber of Commerce and service oriented and non-profit organizations that support community programs, and engaging the local government with your time, talent and money, is Paul’s way of giving back and making a difference for the generations to come.
